montreal

so we've now been in montreal for a week. we've yet to go out and explore much beyond the mall/grocery stores below our building. we've come down with a horrible cold and are struggling just to make it thru the week. but we've luckily gotten an extra day off today and tomorrow is our regular day off so we're gonna take it easy and sleep sleep away!

our first day with cirque involved an orientation of the building, the stage and meeting of our fellow workers.

from day 2 and onwards we've started what cirque calls 'staging'. its where the director takes the acrobatic acts that she's worked on in the studio and gets to do them on the real set. it also allows us from a technical perspective to see how things will work, how to make things work, etc. . .

so far its involved a lot of sitting around. . and most of the next month will probably be just that. but still its fun. we get our own locker to put stuff into and look forward to decorating it with pictures of our man!

now all we have to do is figure out what time the simpsons is on tomorrow. .
the best part of this new place and that we get to bring our pacman magnets! plus a fully equipped kitchen doesn't hurt. . .

sleepy time

we get a large queen sized bed to sleep in!
but we're kinda lonely without our guy sean. . . .

new suite in montreal

we have our priorities straight. energy drink and some groovin tunes. plus a bit of halls to keep our tingling throats away!

view from our suite

invisiduckie, glowie, lepord and baby red are enjoying the view. . that is if the ice and snow ever melts away. . .

so here we are enjoying our new suite. up there just 'hanging out' with flamy is our newest family member zombie! checking out our new entertainment unit is most of the gang. . they're trying to set up our video game system. if you look up top of tattoo and pinky duckie you'll see the teeny tiny devil duckies bluey and redy! they've joined us from sean prestons family

hello studio suite!

so we survived out flight to montreal. and we had the pleasure of being picked up! most other techs on this production came from other shows or vacations so they have all arrived earlier than us. however, imagine our surprise when we found out that we no longer had to share a suite but got one of our own! i do think that this couch is going to be quite comfy . . .

saying goodbye to vancouver

well after a nice visit with grandma and grandpa i've parted ways with vancouver island. said my goodbyes to all my friends and family out there and we encountered a horrible snow storm. thankfully the mighty sean was driving our tank of a chariot and he got us safely to the ferry terminal to go back to vancouver.

i guess the weather was trying to prepare us for the colds of montreal. . .little did we know that our final weeks in vancouver would be just as chilly!

we enjoyed our christmas with the preston family and packed our final bags up and said our goodbyes to the sometimes sunny but mostly rainy vancouver and boarded a plane to montreal in the wee hours of 6am on sat jan 17th. unfortunately due to overly strict people we couldn't capture our flight on camera. but rest assured it was enjoyable!

saying goodbye to vancouver island
